OBDPROG Doctor M500 is an Android-based 5-inch diagnostic tablet made for instrument cluster calibration and oil service reset. It is aimed at repair workshops and quick-service garages.
Main functions:
- Instrument cluster calibration via OBD2: read the stored mileage, write the mileage after a cluster replacement or repair, back up and restore cluster data.
- Oil / service interval reset.
- OBD2/EOBD engine diagnostics: read and clear fault codes, turn off the MIL (check engine) lamp.
Coverage depends on the vehicle and the cluster type, not only on the car model. Some clusters are not supported (for example VAG cars with Johnson Controls clusters and virtual/digital cockpits). OBDPROG publishes a coverage list (Basic and Full versions) on obdprog.com, and dealers can check a specific car before purchase.
Legal note: mileage correction is only allowed when the reading has to be set after an instrument cluster replacement or repair. Changing a vehicle's recorded mileage to mislead a buyer is illegal in most countries.
Updates: online one-click updates, new software released about every 15 to 30 days; 1 year of free updates.

• Packages. Coverage is listed for the lowest package that contains the vehicle. Vehicles from the Basic package are included in the device price; vehicles that need the Standard or Full package are marked with the "$ optional" flag.
• Model years. An open range such as "2010-" means from that year to the end of that model generation, including facelifts. A range with a minus, such as "-2007", means that facelift only. Where the manufacturer gave no model year, the vehicle is listed at model level with the note "Model year not specified by OBDPROG – check before buying".
• What is not listed. Entries that are control modules or dashboard codes rather than a car model, entries without a model name, and models we could not match to a vehicle in our database are left out. Some models appear under a different make or name in the manufacturer's files; we list them under the make they were sold under.
• EEPROM and Flash. The manufacturer's files mark EEPROM and Flash read/write support but do not explain exactly what is read or written. Ask the manufacturer for details before relying on these functions.
• Mileage. Mileage correction is for legal use only, for example repair after a replaced instrument cluster.
